Oatmeal Yogurt Facemask

As summer rolls around the corner, we all want to have great skin to be able to show off at those beach and pool parties.  Here's a fantastic and simple face mask recipe that you can make at home.  It only takes a minute to whip up, and will result in smooth, creamy skin!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • 2 tspn oatmeal. Oats soften and smooth the skin, and contains polysaccharides, which acts as a barrier between your skin and the elements, which helps prevent dry skin, and retains moisture within your skin.  The fats in the oats help lubricate and moisturize the skin, while the sapronins gently cleanses your pores.
  • 2 tspn organic yogurt - Yogurt is a natural moisturizer.  Yogurt contains substances that help you get rid of dead skin cells, and penetrate through your pores to moisturize your skin.
  • 1/2 tspn honey - honey contains antioixidents that prevent your skin from aging. The antimicrobial properties soothe irritated and inflamed skin, such as sun burns.

HOW TO MAKE IT

  1. Grind the oatmeal with a coffee grinder or blender.
  2. Mix the ground oatmeal with the yogurt till it's a rough paste.
  3. Add the honey to the mixture and mix well.  Heat the spoon under hot running water first, as this will heat the honey up.

WHAT TO DO

Spread the mixture on your face gently, avoiding the eyes.  Let it sit for anywhere between 15 minutes to 1 hour.  Rinse the mask off with warm water, and pat dry.  Your skin will be smoother and more evenly toned.  Don't forget to moisturize! And put sunscreen on when you go out!

Let me know how this mask works out for you, and if you have any other tips for skin treatments at home! Enjoy <3
